Does eSIM work on iPhone 16?

Yes. All iPhone 16 models fully support eSIM. US models are eSIM-only; Japan models support both eSIM and physical SIM.

Can I use eSIM and physical SIM at the same time?

Yes — Dual SIM. Keep your home SIM for calls/texts and use Japan eSIM for data. Set the Japan eSIM as "Mobile Data" in Settings → Cellular.

Can I share eSIM data via hotspot?

What is the difference between Daily and Fixed plan types?

Daily: data resets every 24 hours (1GB Daily for 7 days = 7GB total). Fixed: total data pool for entire duration (5GB Fixed for 7 days = 5GB total). Daily for consistent usage, Fixed for flexible usage.

Can I install the eSIM before arriving in Japan?

Can I top up or extend my eSIM?

Turn on Data Roaming, select eSIM for "Mobile Data," restart phone, toggle Airplane Mode. Still stuck? Contact WhatsApp support — we respond within minutes.

Is a refund available?

If you have not installed the QR code, full refund available. Once activated, refunds are not available as the digital product has been delivered.
