Why do all SoftBank SIM plans (30GB, 50GB, 100GB) show the same ¥5,500 price?
The ¥5,500 is the initial fee, which includes the SIM activation fee and your first month of service — this is the same for all plans. The difference is in the monthly fee after the first month, which varies by data tier. For example, 30GB is ¥2,150/month, 50GB is ¥2,330/month, and 100GB is ¥2,750/month. You can see the full monthly fee breakdown on each product page.
How do I pay my monthly fee to keep my service active?
After you receive your SIM, we will send you an email with payment instructions. You can pay your monthly fee through Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp — our support team will guide you through the process. Alternatively, we can send you a monthly payment email with a direct payment link. Choose whichever method is most convenient for you.
What payment methods do you accept?
We support all major payment methods available in Japan for your convenience. For online orders: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, and other credit/debit cards. For in-store and convenience store payments: SmartPit (pay at any konbini). We also accept popular Japanese mobile payments including PayPay, LINE Pay, and more. For monthly recurring fees, bank transfer is also available. Whatever payment method you're comfortable with in Japan — we've got you covered.
How long does it take to receive my eSIM after purchase?
Instantly. After you complete payment, we will send the eSIM QR code to your email within minutes. Simply scan the QR code with your phone to install and activate — no waiting for delivery, no store visit needed. Yes, payment must be completed first before the QR code is sent.
Does my phone support eSIM?
Most modern smartphones support eSIM, including: iPhone XS and newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer, Google Pixel 3a and newer, Sony Xperia, Oppo, and Xiaomi (select models). To check, go to your phone's Settings → About Phone → look for "EID" or "eSIM" option. If you're unsure, message us on WhatsApp with your phone model and we'll confirm for you.
What happens when I use up all my data?
For Data SIM and Voice SIM plans: your speed will be reduced to 128kbps–200kbps until the next billing cycle. You can still browse, message, and use maps — but streaming and video calls may be slow. For eSIM daily plans: if you chose a Daily type, your data resets every day. If you chose Fixed type, once the total data is used, the plan expires. You can always purchase a new eSIM plan if needed.
How long does it take to receive a physical SIM or Pocket WiFi?
Physical SIM cards and Pocket WiFi devices are shipped via Japan Post or Yamato Express. Delivery typically takes 1–3 business days within Japan. Shipping is free for all orders. We will send you a tracking number once your order is shipped. If you need it urgently, please contact us and we'll arrange the fastest option available.
Can I get a refund or cancel my plan?
For eSIM: since the QR code is delivered digitally and instantly, refunds are not available once the eSIM has been activated. If you have not yet scanned/installed the QR code, please contact us for a refund. For physical SIM and WiFi: you may cancel your monthly plan at any time — simply notify us before your next billing date. The initial fee is non-refundable as it covers SIM activation and registration. Please see our Refund Policy for full details.
