What is a Pocket WiFi?
A portable wireless router creating a personal WiFi hotspot. Connect your phone, laptop, tablet via WiFi — no SIM swapping needed on your devices.
How many devices can I connect?
GlocalMe U3: 10 devices. Speed WiFi 5G X12: 10+ devices. Home WiFi L13: 30 devices.
How long does the battery last?
GlocalMe U3: 8–12 hours. Speed WiFi 5G X12: 6–9 hours. Both charge via USB-C. Home WiFi plugs into wall — no battery.
Is the data truly unlimited?
Yes. Fair Use Policy may apply: extremely heavy usage (50GB+ in short period) may see temporary speed reduction during peak hours. Normal usage unaffected.
Pocket WiFi vs Home WiFi — which one?
Pocket WiFi: portable, battery, take anywhere. Home WiFi: plugs in, stronger signal, 30 devices. Both unlimited, no contract.
Do I need to return the device?
No. You own it. Cancel plan, keep device. It's SIM-free — use with other SIM cards worldwide.
Does GlocalMe work outside Japan?
Yes. Works in 140+ countries via cloud SIM. Our monthly plan covers Japan only — international use needs a separate plan via GlocalMe app.
How fast is the connection?
GlocalMe U3: 4G LTE (20–80 Mbps). Speed WiFi X12 and Home WiFi L13: 5G up to 300+ Mbps. All fine for streaming, video calls, gaming.
Does it work on the Shinkansen?
Yes. Works on bullet trains, regular trains, buses. Signal may be weak in very long tunnels or remote mountains — same for all mobile services.
What's included in the initial fee?
The device (yours to keep), registration/activation, and first month of unlimited data. After that, monthly fee only.
How do I set it up?
Turn on → wait 1–2 min → WiFi name + password appear on screen → connect your devices. No APN, no SIM insert, no tech setup.
